This next year has the potential to be the best year of your life. One aspect of life that will affect everything about this next year is your relationship with your parents. As we seek to honor our parents, the Lord says He will bless us. In fact, based on the belief that God is "a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him," we are going to "Honor [our] father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise." Have you ever heard of STP engine treatment? I'm not a mechanic or the son of a mechanic, but I'm told that when you use the STP treatment on your engine, it cleans it out and helps it run better. Well, this year at FUEL we are going to include some STP treatments in our program. Not the Scientifically Treated Petroleum, but the "Support The Parents" treatments. On the second Wednesdays of six months (September, October, November, February, March, and April) we are inviting all the parents of our youth to be a part of our youth group! Teens - invite your parents. Parents - make it a priority to attend these evenings! The evening begins at 7 PM and lasts 1 hour. We believe that our youth would make great strides in their walk with the Lord if they made simple improvements in their walk with their parents. Who knows? You may find that your "engine" is running cleaner and smoother! As we focus on family relationships in this 0910 year, diligently seek the Lord as you honor your parents.
